What are your primary goals? ( create privacy, replace a patio, increase sunlight, increase seasonal color, etc) Do you have a specific tasks in mind or simply looking to improve curb appeal?

Are there any existing features you would like to incorporate into the new design? You may want to highlight a garden structure, an old patio, or re-use existing plant material.

Are there any problem areas on your property ( poor drainage, privacy issues, overgrown trees, uneven pavement, etc) that needs to be addressed?

Are there any known obstacles ( utility lines, easments, etc) or specfic challenges ( destructive pets, deer, rabbit browsing)?

When are you hoping to start your project? Do you have a specific date the project needs to be completed by?

What design style do you tend to prefer? Formal ( clean, symmetrical, retilinear forms) or informal ( curvilinear, flowing, natural forms)? Or perhaps a blend of the two?

Do you have any favorite plants ( trees, shubs, etc. ) you would like us to incorporate? Any colors?

Likewise, are there any plants or colors you would prefer to avoid?

What type of hardscape features are you wanting to incorporate into your new landscape? Such features may include patios, walkways, retaining walls, seat walls, fire pits, and terraces.

Do you have preference for the material s used for each feature ( cast concrete products vs. natural stone)?

If you plan on entertaining, how many guests would you like to accomodate? This will help, for example, the size of a patio you need.
